The police registered a case against former minister Jose Thettayil following a complaint of allegation by a girl who is native of Manjapra in Aluva in Ernakulam district. The case was registered against Thettayil after recording the statement of the woman. 

She lodged a complaint against Josse Thettayil MLA, and his son Adarsh. The complaint said that Jose Thettayil had promised to get her married to his son. The woman alleged that she was sexually assaulted many times after that. She also produced some video clippings along with the complaint.

When contacted, Jose Thettayil told reporters that he knows the woman but the allegations are baseless. The allegations are part of a political conspiracy. He said the woman, a computer expert may have morphed the pictures. I've not proposed her for my son
